Superhot Records launches

Launched on December 15, 2011 Superhot Records is a new independent label based in London, England founded by Trippy Wicked/Stubb drummer Chris West.

The first release on the label will be Stubb’s debut album, due in February 2012, followed by Trippy Wicked’s sophomore effort in March. Both bands will then be going on tour across the UK with Americans Stone Axe.

Stubb recorded the core of their album at Dropout Studios in late 2010 with Part Chimp‘s Tim Cedar. Stone Axe’s Tony Reed took on mixing and mastering in mid-2011 and put in a guest appearance on one of the eight tracks which will make up the debut disc.

Both Stubb and Trippy Wicked are already confirmed for the inaugural UK edition of Desertfest, set for Easter weekend 2012, headlined by Orange Goblin.
