Noisear – Subvert The Dominant Paradigm

This one is for hardcore grind fans only. Noisear has put out probably the first fantastic grind record of 2011, and it will break your face over and over again before its 30-song length is up. Hailing from New Mexico, Noisear adds more to their grindcore sound than being Napalm Death and Repulsion knock-offs. They’ve definitely taken some cues from bands like Pretty Little Flower, Phobia and even Anal Cunt. Although most of these songs cut off at about the sub-one minute mark, each track has riffs and solos galore which is a definite surprise from a grind band. One coule argue that Noisear could be carrying the torch of the great Nasum as the thinking man’s grindcore. Global Warning has dilligent use of a kill-switch to create a very memorable blast of a song. The Rail shows how unconventional Noisear can be. How the hell do they make guitars make these sounds? The last track, Noisearuption is a twenty-minute noise track. This can either add or take away from how positive you view this album. Regardless, Subvert The Dominant Paradigm is the best grind album put out by the US in 2011 so far. Get your hands on this album now!
