Bad Habit – Timeless

site | label | buy
Heavily influenced by bands like Journey, Boston, and Van Halen, Bad Habit are an AOR band out of Sweden, who’s latest offering, Timeless, is a sixteen track greatest hits compilation. What can really be said of a greatest hits album? Typically it’s a compilation of the band’s best, or most popular songs to date, and this one delivers that. As a bonus, Timeless also includes two new songs, both of which, while nothing drastic, do have a slightly heavier hard rock sound than a lot of Bad Habit’s past material. The first new song, Turning Water Into Wine, kicks off the album with a style similar to Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life, while the second new track, Rock This Town, is a fun, straightforward, party rocker. Both songs are excellent, and one can only hope Bad Habit continues with this style for their new album to be released in 2011. The rest of Timeless is exactly what one would expect from a greatest hits package, with selections from Bad Habit’s releases, Young & Innocent, After Hours, Revolution and Above And Beyond. It’s a nice mix, and perfect for anyone wanting to be exposed to this band for the first time, or for fans who have been craving some new material.
