Wednesday 13 – Bloodwork

This is a six track EP originally only available at shows on the Skeletour in 2008. It’s purpose is to supplement the Skeletons album, which was released at the beginning of the year, with new songs, covers and acoustic tracks. The two new songs could come straight from the album. B-Movie Babylon is slow, Return of The Living Dead is fast, but both are the usual horror themes, have the thick, heavy guitar tone of Skeletons, and are as good as most of the tracks on the album. A studio recording of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers‘ Runnin’ Down A Dream, which first appeared on the Fuck It! We’ll Do It Live live release in December ’08, follows, and sounds more like Wednesdays old material with former bands. A new recording of I Love To Say Fuck, which Wednesday originally did with Frankenstein Drag Queens, and again as a bonus track with Murderdolls, is probably the slowest and heaviest version to date, and finally My Demise B.C. and Skeletons A.D. are acoustic versions of tracks from the Skeletons album, which were both slower and mellower than the rest of the album anyway, and take on an even more haunting feel here. Everything here is previously unreleased, making this essential for all Wednesday 13 fans.
