Sweden Rock limits capacity for 2010
For the first time in their history the Sweden Rock Festival have limited the number of tickets available for the 2010 event after breaking record attendance figures three years running.
The 2009 festival sold 35,200 tickets, so in an effort to maintain the popular smaller-scale environment the festival has always enjoyed the organisers have decided to cap ticket sales for 2010 at 33,000.
Festival founder Ingolf Persson: “Sweden Rock Festival never intended to be the biggest. We intend to be the greatest.”
The first batch of 3,000 tickets were released today (October 1) and are at a lower price until the end of the year or until they are sold out. The first line-up announcements are expected soon, but there will be no kick-off concert with band announcements in Stockholm this year as there has been in previous years.
