SPV back in business
Six months after being declaring insolvent, German label SPV is back in business following a new venture partnership with Sony Music, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2010 with a new compilation, several vinyl re-issues and several new releases in just the first two months of the year.
The celebratory compilation, 25 & Alive, will feature selections from the likes of Gamma Ray, Glenn Hughes, Saxon and UFO and will be released on January 4.
The following week double gatefold vinyl editions of Rhapsody‘s Symphony of Enchanted Lands II – The Dark Secret and Molly Hatchet‘s Silent Reign of Heroes will be released, with the same treatment being given to Doro‘s Fight on January 25, and and Molly Hatchet’s Warriors of The Rainbow Bridge on February 22.
Already available elsewhere the new live CD/DVD from Annihilator, Live At Masters of Rock, will see a European release on January 18, followed by brand new albums from Freedom Call and Andre Matos on February 1 and a new DVD from Sodom on February 22.
Lastly new box set editions of the latest releases from Kreator and Iced Earth will emerge in February, along with a 20th anniversary re-issue of Sodom’s Agent Orange album.
