Slayer postpone tour
Thrash legends Slayer have been forced to postpone the European leg of the World Painted Blood. This follows the postponement of the Canadian Carnage tour with Megadeth.
Both tours have been cancelled after vocalist/bassist Tom Araya underwent back surgery and despite significant progress with his rehabilitation, has not fully recovered. The European tour was set to feature special guests The Haunted, who themselves cancelled their headlining tour of the UK originally scheduled for November.
The Canadian Carnage dates will be rescheduled in February 2010 and the European tour has already been rescheduled for March and April 2010. Tickets for the original shows will be valid for the new shows.
