Chris Laney leaves Animal
Guitarist Chis Laney has decided to leave Randy Piper’s Animal to concentrate on his solo career. Laney releases his debut solo album, Pure, on March 30 (UK) through Metal Heaven Records.
Via the official Animal website Laney issued the following statement:
“Dear Animal Fans!!!
I want you to hear it from me first… I have left Animal… It is not easy to keep a band up and running when you live on different parts of the planet. We did manage to put out two great albums within 4 years, and recorded a DVD that hopefully will see the light of day.
My time in Animal has been FANTASTIC!!! Piper, Rich, Grizzly and Koleberg are my brothers, and will always be!!
I will now concentrate 100% on doing my solo stuff, starting it off with the relase of Chris Laney – Pure on March 27th, and on my work as producer at Polar Studios. I thank Rich and Randy for all the great times we had and wish them all the best in their future work with Animal, they are the original members after all.
All I can say is, this is The Morning After… when all is said and done…
Love you guys,
Cheers,
Chris Laney.”
