Metallica album launch gig ticket details
Following the announcement that Metallica would be playing two special gigs in the week of the September 12 release of new album Death Magnetic in Berlin and London, they have now announced details of the venues and how fans can acquire tickets.
The Berlin show will take place at O2 World, with tickets costing just 10 Euros, while the London show will be at the O2 Arena, costing £5. Premier MetClub (Metallica Fan Club) members can purchase two tickets each, for each show, on Monday September 1. Platinum Mission:Metallica members can do the same on Tuesday September 2, and if any tickets remain on Wednesday September 3, free subscribers to Mission:Metallica can also purchase tickets.
Members will be allocated a unique, non-transferable code in their profile on each respective site which will be required to buy the tickets. Tickets will only be available online via Metallica’s sites and can only be picked up at the venue on the night of the show with a valid confirmation email plus ID.
All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to local charities. In Berlin the money will go to The Deutsche Herzzentrum Berlin (DHZB) medical centers for heart treatment to aid the treatment of “Ein Herz fur Kinder” (a heart for children), which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, while in London the nominated recipients are Youth Music, the UK’s largest children’s music charity.
Information regarding the codes for ticket purchase will be released via the respective sites later this week.
