Led Zeppelin O2 show postponed
The Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund tribute show, headlined by a reunited Led Zeppelin, scheduled for November 26 at the O2 Arena in London has been postponed by two weeks due to an injury to Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Page has fractured a finger and has been advised by his doctor to rest it and not play guitar for three weeks, after which time he expects it to have healed properly, allowing rehearsals for the show to recommence.
The show, also featuring performances from Foreigner, Bill Wyman and The Rhythm Kings, Paul Rodgers and Paulo Nutini has been rescheduled for December 10th. All tickets for the original date will be honoured for the rescheduled date. Refunds are available from the point of purchase. Returned tickets will be randomly allocated to ballot entries from the original ticket registration period held last month.
Page: “I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks. However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to.”
